Academic or Scholarly Articles Subject Indexes
- America: History and Life "Covers history and culture of the US and Canada from 1450 to the present."
- "Humanities Full Text is a bibliographic database that cites articles from English-language periodicals, plus the full text of selected periodicals. Periodical coverage includes some of the best-known scholarly journals and numerous lesser-known but important specialized magazines. Full-text coverage begins in January 1995."
- An index to the content of journals books proceedings and other resources in the disciplines of languages, literature, linguistics and folklore.
- "Social Sciences Full Text is a bibliographic database that indexes and abstracts articles of at least one column in length from English-language periodicals published in the United States and elsewhere plus the full text of selected periodicals. Coverage includes a wide range of interdisciplinary fields covered in a broad array of social sciences journals. Abstracting coverage begins with periodicals published in January 1994. Abstracts range from 50 to 300 words and describe the content and scope of the source articles. Full text coverage begins in January 1995."
General Indexes to Magazine, Journal & Newspaper Articles
- This service provides the tables of contents and brief descriptions of articles in about 26,000 multidisciplinary journals. You may browse through the contents and summaries for free, but Ingenta does charge a fee to deliver any article. Moore Library recommends that the Rider community first check the Find Journals catalog for local holdings and then use the Interlibrary Loan service if necessary.
- National Newspaper Index indexes articles from America's top five newspapers: The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Christian Science Monitor, Los Angeles Times and The Washington Post. Coverage is from 1977 to the present. All five newspapers are available in Moore Library.

African American Women Writers of the 19th century
- African American Women Writers of the 19th Century is a digital collection of some 52 published works by 19th-century black women writers. A part of the Digital Schomburg, this collection provides access to the thought, perspectives and creative abilities of black women as captured in books and pamphlets published prior to 1920. A full text database of these 19th and early 20th- century titles, this digital library is key-word-searchable. Each individual title as well as the entire database can be searched to determine what these women had to say about "family", "religion", "slavery" or any other subject of interest to the researcher or casual reader. The Schomburg Center is pleased to make this historic resource available to the public.
Victorian Women Writers Project
- "The goal of the Victorian Women Writers Project is to produce highly accurate transcriptions of works by British women writers of the 19th century, ... . The works, selected with the assistance of the Advisory Board, will include anthologies, novels, political pamphlets, religious tracts, children's books, and volumes of poetry and verse drama."

Project MUSE includes the full content of each journal with the exception of advertisements.

Women and Social Movements in the United States, 1775-2000
- "Organized around a collection of over 750 primary documents, the Women and Social Movements websire offers new ways for students, teachers, and scholars to study American History".
- Provides access to digitized historical, manuscript, and image resources selected from Harvard's library and museum collections. This collection explores women's roles in the US economy between the Civil War and the Great Depression. Working conditions, conditions in the home, costs of living, recreation, health and hygiene, conduct of life, policies and regulations governing the workplace, and social issues are all well documented. The collection currently contains 2,850 books and pamphlets, 1,125 photographs, and 7,489 pages from manuscript collections.

GenderStats database of Gender Statistics
- GenderStats is an electronic database of gender statistics and indicators designed with user-friendly, menu-driven features. It offers statistical and other data in modules on several subjects. The data in each module is presented in ready-to-use format. Users have the option of saving the country views in Excel (or another spreadsheet software) to customize them for their own reports. Data sources for GenderStats include national statistics, United Nations databases, and World Bank-conducted or funded surveys.
